Our Story
C-Ability is a not-for-profit organisation that was founded by Eimear and Amie, who are united by a passion for genuine inclusion and a shared belief that every child deserves a safe, welcoming space where they can simply be themselves. Launched in 2025, C-Ability has grown into a beautiful community where children with a variety of needs are supported to explore, connect, and thrive.
Our team is made up of a range of experienced professionals, including teachers, SNA/ANAs, nurses, healthcare assistants, social care workers, early years educators and therapy professionals, to ensure that support is thoughtful, personalised, and grounded in understanding.
While we aim to grow and offer other supports, our camps are at the heart of who we are. C-Ability camps provide low demand, inclusive environments where children can grow at their own pace, build friendships, and engage in activities that honour their abilities and interests. Inclusion isn’t just a value for us: it is present in every decision, every activity, and every interaction. We will always strive to ensure that your child feels safe, supported, and that they truly belong.
As a not-for-profit organisation, every aspect of C-Ability is centred around the children we serve and our mission to promote authentic inclusion among peers. Over the past year, we’ve had the joy of watching children flourish in our programmes, growing in confidence and becoming part of a community that celebrates them exactly as they are.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help every child develop a positive sense of self, while nurturing compassion and empathy so that future generations truly understand what inclusion means. We recognise that every child is an individual, with unique abilities, interests, and ways of expressing themselves.
Meet Amie
Amie is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where every child feels welcomed, valued and supported to be themselves.With a strong belief that inclusion should be at the heart of everything we do, Amie brings compassion, kindness and a clear sense of purpose to C-Ability. Her passion for supporting children and families is also shaped by her own lived experience of supporting a family member, giving her a genuine understanding of the importance of meaningful, inclusive support.
Before co-founding C-Ability, Amie spent several years working in recruitment and successfully built her own recruitment business. Her experience working with people from all walks of life has developed her strong communication, relationship-building and people skills, all qualities that she now brings to C-Ability.
For Amie, C-Ability is about much more than providing services. It is about creating a community where children with additional needs can have fun, build confidence, develop friendships and feel that they truly belong. She is deeply committed to the children and families we support and to C-Ability’s mission of creating opportunities, removing barriers and making inclusion a reality for everyone.
Meet Eimear
Eimear is a Registered Nurse in Intellectual Disability (RNID) with a wealth of experience supporting people, both through her professional career and in her personal life.
With a deep-rooted commitment to person-centred care, Eimear brings clinical expertise, patience and genuine warmth to her role at C-Ability. Her nursing background has given her a thorough understanding of the diverse needs of the children and families we support, while her personal experience has given her a real, lived appreciation for what meaningful, inclusive support looks like day to day.
Eimear is passionate about building understanding and empathy, both within C-Ability and in the wider community. She believes that true inclusion begins with people taking the time to understand what someone else's experience is really like, rather than making assumptions based on what they can see on the surface. Through her work, she is dedicated to helping others see beyond a diagnosis or a label, and to recognise the individual child or person in front of them - their personality, their strengths and what makes them who they are. This drive to foster empathy shapes not only how she supports the children and families at C-Ability, but how she encourages everyone around her to engage with inclusion more thoughtfully and compassionately
